To
Nana's House

Everyone sometime in their lives had a
Grandmother or 'Nana'.
It could be spelled hundreds of different ways,
but all would mean the same thing -
a Very Special Woman
who loves the little ones, no matter what.
Whether the little ones are 5 or 45 years old,
the love is always the same.

I dedicate these pages to my
Mother,
who taught me all I know. Her wisdom was amazing,
her instructions and comments were to the point
and always the right ones for me.

TO DREAM
She taught me how to dream, and to dream big,
and never give up until I reached my goals.
No matter how many upsets and setbacks
came my way, I always tried to follow her advice.

FRIENDS ARE FOREVER
She also taught me the value of friendship.
You may be very rich with all kinds of money and property,
but if you do not have friends, you are very poor, indeed.

Friendship has no monetary value - it lives on in each person's heart.
One should not ask for friendship because it will find you as long as
you give your heart to another person.
The more you invest in giving - the more will return to you.

Therefore, once you find a friend, do everything in your power
to be where and when you are needed. A word here, a hug there,
a note to say - I'm thinking of you - these are the things
that make a friendship stronger.

ANGELS
When I was a little girl she taught me the bed-time prayer:
"When I lay me down to sleep..."
She reminded me that there was a Guardian Angel by my side
all through the day and night. At the end of the prayer I always added:
"thank you for being with me and watching over me today".
To this day I still say a special "Thank You" to my
Guardian Angel for guiding me through another day.

THE KITCHEN
Each and every one of us needs nourishment,
not only for our bodies, but for the soul as well.
My Mother could serve up fabulous "nourishment"
for our family. You will find some of our favorites in
THE KITCHEN.
If you find something to your liking, print it, prepare it and enjoy!

CRAFTS
"Idle hands produce empty minds"
- she used to tell me. At age 7 she taught me to cook.
At age 9 she started to teach me how to crochet, knit,
do needlepoint and fancy embroidery. Since then I have
tried to learn one new type of craft every couple of years.
There must be thousands of crafts sites on the internet,
but these happen to be some of my favorite projects.
You are welcome to copy them, use and give them as gifts.
All I ask in return is that if you sell any of them, please make sure that
one of each item you produce, you give it to someone who
would really enjoy having and using it.

FUN STUFF
Throughout the years I have collected all kinds of sayings,
stories, and fun poetry. This is where you can relax and have a
smile or two which you just might share with someone special
at the end of a difficult day. Enjoy!

Thank you for taking a few minutes to visit
and I hope you will find something
that will interest you.

Come as often as you like,
the front door is always open.
